YG-1 Dream Drills are a complete series that includes solid carbide high performance drills in 3, 5 and 8 X D both with and without coolant. There are Dream Drills dedicated for stainless steel as well as aluminum materials and MQL type drills up to 30 X D. They even have specialized drills for high hardened material up to 70 HRc.
YG-1 has recently added a series of flat bottom solid carbide drills that perform great on flat, sloped or curved surfaces. These newest YG-1 Dream Drills come in both metric and inch sizes. Metric is offered from 3.0 – 20.0 mm standard with inch sizes ranging from 1/8″ – 3/4″. The flutes are designed to aid chip evacuation. When working with thin workpieces these tools leave fewer burrs on both entrance and exit. They are rated at 2 x D.
YG-1 has been making quality round tools for over 22 years. In that time they have grown to become a multi-national corporation supplying cutting tools to major industries around the globe. They recently opened a state of the art production facility in Charlotte, North Carolina. This location will house both production and their Technical Center where they can test new tools, train employees and customers, and design special tools for specific applications.
